As video game systems become more and more advanced, the limits of what is possible may only be limited by imagination. This beautiful painting makes me hopeful that 2D side-scrolling games can continue, though in this beautiful visual style.
The way you added blur to Kirby and the other moving objects of this piece give it the illusion that it is just a screen shot in motion. Just looking at this piece makes me wish that it were, as I would love to play a high-resolution game that looked as though it were a painting in motion.
You've done a fabulous job on this piece. This is one of my favorite pieces in your video game remake series.
This is a pretty nice piece. I'm not sure which Kirby game exactly it's based off of, but I would guess Kirby 3. If that's the case I regard it even more highly as it captures that games softer style art exceptionally well. Once my eyes drift away from the intended focus on Kirby I notice lots of nice extra details, such as the grass textures, and the sparkles coming off the birds. The atmospheric fade to blue in the background is nice, as is the white foggy looking borders that draw your attention back to the center of the work. The only thing I consider a distraction with this is the motion blur on Kirby's feet and hands. I'm not sure exactly about it doesn't work to me, but it's the only thing I would even identify as a flaw. I'm too busy admiring the rest to really care about the specifics anyway. Again, great work on this one.
The texture in this one is amazing! I literally FEEL it! And the color pallid is perfect it actually reminds me of cake frosting which is perfect for the subject matter. The blur and the way the backdrop scenery looks (gives a sense of real depth) shows the 'movement' in the work and adds to the over all mood. It's nice that the Kirby and the birds are so bright, makes them pop! Really freakin sweet one you got here!
