As soon as I read who that guy in the picture is, I realised the ingenous concept behind all this. I'm still amazed. However, after a while the pic started to make me sad, because it reminds me of Cyan's sorrowful backstory. I just love the deepness of FF6.
This is excellent work here. To be completely honest, Final Fantasy 6 was the game that came to mind the second I saw that image so you captured the characters feelings and the look of the spirits extremely well. Almost missed the train but that just confirmed it even more. Really looking forward to the next ones.
thoughtful, solom mood, the spirits look fake as though wearing sheets or thin & flowing material. lighting is good, feels like a chillie late fall early winter. would like to see more fog or mist on the water, if that is water he is sitting next to. looks like the sitting is staged
I don't really think it's scary, but rather interesting. Who are the figures in white, and why does the man look so sad? These are the questions that come to mind when I see this picture. Maybe it's strange, but hist expression and all that black clothing makes me think he's Russian! >_<
Right on! that's manily what I liked: the fact it could be anybody (blue suit, ponytail and twin swords would've been a dead giveaway, nice subtle touch on the recessive baldness) on an horror set or a fantasy adventure. If I didn't knew a lot of your artwork was inspired by videogames maybe I wouldn't have figured it out... but I would still have favorited it Amazing color palette, poses, the smaller, ghost son. Keep it up Orioto!
