Hehe, continuing with some really different style those times.
I hadn't do some videogame mock-up since 4 or 5 years !
I was checking a really cool project of Sonic HD remake, [link] and it give me the idea to take a shot !
I took a remade sprite from the project for the base sprite (but i reshaded it), but the eal long work (some 10 hours) came from the mat painting background
All is done from many many little pieces of Photo, even the palm trees are drawn and textured with photo elements.
Ps: Added some new elements

Never played sonic very much. You made him look good. What really draws me into liking this is the trees, water, grass, and some of the smaller bits of detail you hid in the picture.
