This piece is very stunning! The soft grays and blurry lights give the composition an old film noir feel, which goes so well with the Batman's persona and role as a "detective". At first, I was going to comment on how the brightest, largest window on the left-hand side detracts from the real focus of the picture. On first glance, I wasn't sure what I supposed to be looking at. But the interest of the picture--the windows with various light, the haze, the balloons--kept me looking, and then I noticed the solitary figure on the roof. So I changed my mind. The bright focus takes attention away from him, but that's so appropriate for him, and it makes the mood of your piece so much more mysterious and intriguing. Great job on the textures and the feeling of this piece! You've created an excellent atmosphere in this. Very impressive.
Even with such a limited palette, you've created such a range of depth and an unbelievable richness that it's difficult to realize I, as a viewer, can't just slip through this 600x750 window and into that world.
This is amazing. I love the very soft grays - they give a nice, nostalgic nighttime feel to this, that kind of night where it's chilly outside so you just sit in front of your fireplace with a nice book and your dog. :]
