The Metroid art is finished, ... At least ! I was becoming crazy !
Sorry, i obviously drop the ball for the boss part. It was just like the eternity to finish...
I changed the direction of the picture when i saw screens from Oborosama, the new vanillaware game for Wii. I would like to have some sketch look, so i tried to have this old comics with strong black in it.
I really wanted to have a strong mood for this one. In the end i'm not so sure... Ho well !

I don't know metroid very well so it looks good to me! Ridley would have been awesome fully rendered though. I like the dark mood this has; you did a good job.
From the preview I thought this was Donkey Kong Country for whatever reason. Which begs this question: What other games do you think you'll be doing?
Ah yes the entrance to Torent (spell check on that cause I haven't played the SNES Metroid in quite some time.) :3 gotta love the suspense before the final boss fight.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Nicely done again, Orioto. The way you colored Samus seems to make her stand out alot, but also kinda makes her look out of place to me.
